Caribbean reefs, from the big picture to the smallest detail
Coral formations, sponges and tropical fish offer plenty to explore, whether you enjoy taking in the whole reef or slowing down to observe its smaller residents.

ZOTZ Expeditions · Bonaire
Dive into island life.
October 2–9, 2027 8 days / 7 nights
The island rhythm
Warm Caribbean water, coastal roads and a week built around diving. Bonaire invites you to settle into a simple, satisfying rhythm: breakfast, tanks in the truck and another reef waiting just offshore.
Our Drive & Dive expedition combines six days of unlimited shore diving with six boat dives, bringing together underwater exploration and the easygoing atmosphere that makes island life so inviting.
There is something about Bonaire that makes you want to stay a little longer. The sea is always close, the breeze follows you through town, and the colorful waterfront of Kralendijk offers an inviting place to spend an evening.
Between dives, take time for a leisurely lunch, a coastal drive or a quiet moment overlooking the water. As the sun drops toward the horizon, gather around a table, share the day’s photographs and decide which reef deserves another visit.
Come for the diving. Make time for everything around it.

Beneath the surface
Load the vehicle, follow the coast and discover Bonaire’s signature yellow dive-site markers. With dozens of reefs accessible from shore, exploring the island becomes part of the diving experience.
One of Bonaire’s best-known dives adds a different perspective to the week: a shipwreck resting beside the island’s double reef system.
Coral formations, sponges and tropical fish offer plenty to explore, whether you enjoy taking in the whole reef or slowing down to observe its smaller residents.
Sponge-covered pillars, shifting light and schools of fish make this iconic site especially appealing to underwater photographers.
Complement the shore-diving experience with trips by boat, adding different reef perspectives and more variety to the week.
Return to a favorite reef, explore a different composition or spend a dive observing a single subject. Six days of unlimited shore diving give us room to enjoy Bonaire beyond a first impression.
Featured sites are potential highlights. Final dive selection depends on local access, conditions and diver experience.
Expedition profile
Dive sites and profiles will be selected according to each diver’s certification, experience and equipment configuration.
Complimentary Photography & Editing Workshop
Join Ricardo Castillo for a complimentary underwater photography and photo-editing workshop during the expedition.
Explore how light, composition and an understanding of marine life can help you create stronger underwater images, then discover how thoughtful editing can bring those photographs to life.
We’ll review images, exchange ideas and work through practical approaches you can apply to your own photography.
The workshop is included at no additional cost for expedition participants.

Discover coral restoration
We can also arrange a visit to Reef Renewal Bonaire’s coral nurseries to learn how corals are grown and cared for before being transplanted onto restoration sites.
It is an opportunity to see the work behind reef restoration and connect our time underwater with the people helping shape the future of Bonaire’s reefs.
Nursery visits are subject to coordination with the local operator and Reef Renewal program availability.
